Brian Ruby is a director who has collaborated with companies in Chicago and throughout the midwest. His work with The Ruckus includes directing All Saints’ Day, assistant directing the world premieres of The Gay American and Little Triggers, and directing The Gods are Crazy Blind and Last Date as part of Tell It... Outside of the Ruckus, Brian directed the Chicago premiere of 6 Pleasant Avenue for Rhinofest, Phenomenon Of Decline at Gorilla Tango Theater, and the opening play for Tympanic Theatre’s Deliver us from Nowhere. In the past, his work has also been a part of The Mill Theatre's Et Cetera VI, MOB Productions Fan Fiction Festivals, and Suzan Lori Parks' 365 Days/365 Plays. Prior to his move to Chicago, Brian received a BA in Theatre Arts from Kalamazoo College and founded and served as Artistic Director of the Bay City, MI - based Bay Area Recreational Drama. Brian is currently the Production Coordinator for The Side Project Theatre in Rogers Park.
